Guest Principal at ENO since 07/08 season, where his repertoire includes roles by Puccini, Ligeti, Lehar, Bernstein, Britten, Strauss and Offenbach. He has also sung roles at La Scala Milan, Deutsche Oper am Rhein, Paris Chatelet, Barcelona Liceu, Cologne Opera, Aix-en-Provence, Bregenz, Aldeburgh, Garsington, Grange Park.  He has sung the G&S patter roles all over the world.

WRITING includes:

A Motley Pair, A Salaried Wit, A Gooseberry Fool (Sky Arts), I Am The Very Model (BBC), new play for Let’s Make An Opera and new narration for Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra, (Britten Estate commissions); Making Massinger (Wiltshire Creative); Voltaire’s Amphibian and Signor Kelly’s Souffle (opera libretti).  He has translated numerous operas.
